Welcome to the help page. Here you can learn some details about Arcuz.

1. Control

WASD / Arrow Keys: Move

J: Attack / Talk with NPC / Accept Quest

K: Jump / Cancel / Composition (when talking with susan and choose shop/composition)

1/2/3: Use potions and town portal.

Put the potions and scrolls from your inventory to the potion slots on the bottom left of the game screen. Then you can use the potions and scrolls by pressing key 1/2/3.

I/L: Spell Battle Skill.

You can put up to 4 battle skills in the skill slots on the bottom right of the game screen and press I/L to spell the skills (“Q” is used to switch the first 2 skills and the second 2 skills). You level up and add ability point to one of your skills. Then you click one of the skills on the SKILL panel and put it on the skill slot. You can only put active skills to the skill slots (not passive skills).

C / V / B / N / M / , / ESC: Hotkeys for Char, Skill, Quest, Inventory, Map and Menu.

2. Quest

Quest is the mainline of the game. Game progresses by completing quests one after another.

You get quests from the villagers. When one has quest for you, there will be an excalmatory mark (“!”) on his/her head. You talk to the guy and he/she will tell you the details of the quest. You can accept his/her quest or refuse. By accepting it, quest details will be listed in your “Quest” panel and you can click “Quest” button on the bottom of the screen to read. If you refuse the quest, next time when you are talking with him/her again he/she will tell you the quest again.

Where to complete the quests? There are specific spot in the game world where you go and complete the quests. You can lie on the map to find where to do the quest – quest map is marked as purple on the map. So run ahead that spot and prepare well for a tough fight!

After quest is completed, you go back to turn in the quest with the villager who offered you the quest. At the time a question mark (“?”) will appear on his/her head. Commission will be given by him/her, as well as push the game forward.

3. Map

The first time you play Arcuz, you may get lost in the huge game world. Fortunately you got map to help you. Click “Map” button on the bottom of the game screen once, map of the current scene shows up; click twice, world map shows up.

Each scene consists of several map blocks. For instance Arcuz Plain, which is the first scene you will be exploring after went out of the village, consists of 18 map blocks. Each block has up to 4 conjunctions linking with the adjacent map blocks and they will be shown on your map, which makes you easier to find which direction to go next.

Quest block is shown as purple on the map. So you want to be clear which scene you go for your quest and run toward to the purple block. Scene information can be found on the world map, which you click “Map” twice and will show up.

4. Inventory

You place your weapons, armors, stones, etc in your inventory, as well as stuffs you get from killing the monsters. You click the “Inv” button on the bottom of the game screen and your inventory shows up. You can see there are 3 pages of slots (bottom of the Inv panel), as well as the equipment you are wearing (top of the Inv panel).

You can move your cursor to an item in your inventory and see its description. If it is a weapon, you can click it and put it in the highlight slot to equip it, or you can double click and it will be automatically equipped. If it is a potion, you can pick it and put it in the shortcut potion slot at the bottom of the game screen, and press 1/2/3 to use (Or double click in your inventory slot to use).

If after a while playing, you got so many stuffs in your inventory and got messed, you can click the 3 item sorting buttons on the bottom of the inventory slots to sort your items. Items can be sorted by equipment, crystal and potion.

There is a value called Encumbrance on the inventory panel. It means the maximum weight you are able to load. For example at the beginning of the game your encumbrance is 65, and you have a weight 30 sword and a weight 40 armor in your inventory (together weight 70), your move will turn to very slow. You can improve your strength so your encumbrance will be increased. About how to improve your strength please refer to “5. Character”.

If you want more inventory slots, you can also buy more in our premium shop. You click Menu à Premium Shop à Others, find inventory slot and buy it. A minimum purchase is 20 slots (1 page slots). You need a MochiGames account to purchase inventory slot in our premium shop. Register a  MochiGames Account for Free Here.

5. Character

Character may be the most complicated part of the game, if you previously have no RPG experience. You can click “CHAR” button on the bottom of the game screen to open the character panel. The status of your hero shows on there.

Hit Point: Your HP, your life point for simple, you will die if your Hit Point went to zero. You can also see the status of your Hit Point at the bottom left of the game screen, which is shown as a red bar.

Skill Point: Your SP, the point you use to spell battle skills. You cannot spell a skill while it is not enough. You can also see the status of your Hit Point at the bottom left of the game screen, which is shown as a green bar below the red HP bar.

Armor: It means your defense point. The higher the less physical damage you receive from the monsters.

Magic Resist: Some monsters can attack you by using their battle skills of thunder, fire, poison or ice (You too can use these elements, please refer to composition). The higher Magic resistance you got the lower chance they can successfully hurt you.

Experience: You kill monsters and gain experience point. When it reaches a fixed value, you will level up. By level up you get 5 capacity point (CP) and 1 ability point (AP). Those can be used to improve your characters and battle skill.

Points Remaining: Number of capacity points (CP) which you have not used (distribute) yet.

Strength, Agility, Constitution and Luck are the 4 characters your hero has. You can distribute the capacity points to these 4 characters and improve the capacity of your hero on his damage, defense, shield block rate, HP/SP, drop rate and chance of critical hit.

Strength: Adding CP to strength affects:

Damage: The damage you give the monsters. Adding 1 CP to your strength makes Damage +1.

Encumbrance: Adding 1 CP to your strength adds Encumbrance +5.

Agility: Adding CP to agility affects:

Defense: Same as armor - The higher the value the less physical damage you receive from the monsters. +1 CP to Agility makes Defense +2.

Shield Block: The percentage that you can completely block monster’s attack once. +10 CP to Agility makes Shield Block +1%.

Constitution: Add CP to constitution affects:

HP (Health): +1 CP to constitution = +10 HP

SP (Mana): +1 CP to constitution = +3 SP

Luck: Add CP to luck affects:

Drop Rate: When killed a monster, there is possibility that treasure chest dropped. There are normal chest and premium chest. The higher drop rate the higher possibility you find precious.

Chance of Critical Hit: A random powerful hit. +5 CP to Luck makes Chance of Critical Hit +2.

If you feel that the capacity point you got from level up is not enough, you can buy it from our premium shop. It makes you possibility of having unlimited capacity point to use! You need a MochiGames account to purchase capacity point in our premium shop. Register a  MochiGames Account for Free Here.

6. Skill

Apart from physical attack (by keeping pressing J), you can learn battle skills. Battle skills help you enlarge your power during fighting with the monsters, e.g. you release a hurricane and the monsters around you will all be attacked by the power of the hurricane.

Skill divides to active and passive. Active skill helps you on attack, like the hurricane in the above example is an active skill. Passive skill provides you help on invisible aspects like improving your capacity, making your HP recover quicker, etc.

When level up you get 1 ability point (AP). You can add it on the skill you want to learn. Some skills have level requirement so at the beginning of the game not all the skills can be learned.

Details of the skills can be seen in game. Click “Skill” button on the bottom of the game screen, and move your cursor to the skill icons, an explanation will pop up on top left of the skill panel.

Since you only get 1 ability point per level up, you may think it’s not enough. You can buy ability point in our premium shop. You need a MochiGames account to do that. Register a  MochiGames Account for Free Here.

7. NPC Shop

During playing, you need to update your weapons, armors, drink potions to recover your HP/SP, etc. Shop sells these stuffs to you. There are 3 NPCs who run shop in game:

Susan: She owns the potion shop. You can buy various potions, crystals, town portal at her shop.

Gran: He is the blacksmith of the village. You can buy basic weapons, armors and accessories from him. As Gran does not have knowledge of composition, the equipment he sells does not have any attached attributes such as fire attack, HP recovery, Defense Bonus, etc. Equipment attributes will be explained below.

Chung: He is a merchant in village Arcuz. He so likes collecting treasures as well as money. You can always find goods with attached attributes at his shop, awesome but expensive, of course.

8. Equipment Attribute

Equipment can have attribute attached on it. Attribute makes the equipment much more powerful and improve your characters (your ability). A normal sword without attribute attached is totally different from the same sword with attributes. The attributes are listed as below:

Attack Attributes:

Ice: When your weapon has ice attribute, ice damage will be given to your enemy as well as slow down its moving speed.

Fire: When your weapon has fire attribute, powerful fire damage will be given to your enemy.

Thunder: When your weapon has thunder attribute, thunder damage will be given to your enemy as well as make it temporarily blackout.

Poison: When your weapon has poison attribute, poison damage will be given to your enemy so it will be toxic.

Chance of Critical Hit: chance that your attack will be times powerful.

Attack Bonus: Add a fixed attack value to your current attack.

Attack Bonus (%): Add a fixed percentage of attack value to your current attack.

Defense Attributes:

Defense Bonus: Add a fixed defense value to your current defense.

Defense Bonus(%):Add a fixed percentage of defense value to your current defense.

Magic Resistance: Add a fixed percentage of defense value to your magic resistance.

Chance of Block: Add a fixed percentage of block value to your block rate.

Assistant Attributes:

HP Bonus: Add a fixed HP value to your current SP

SP Bonus: Add a fixed SP value to your current SP.

HP Recovery: Make your HP recover automatically (without drinking potion)

SP Recovery: Make your SP recover automatically (without drinking potion)

Get HP after kill an enemy: Get a fixed number of HP after kill an enemy.

Get SP after kill an enemy: Get a fixed number of SP after kill an enemy.

Drop Rate: Increase the chance you get better treasure chest after kill an enemy.

Extra Weight: Increase your encumbrance so you can load more stuffs.

If you have a sword, how do you know if it has attached attributes? Very simple, just move the cursor onto the sword and you can see its item description. And you can try equipping this sword with your CHAR panel opened so you can see the changes of your characters by having the attributes added to your characters. Seeing big changes? :)

Attributes has level difference. There are 4 levels for each attribute, the higher level the more powerful. For instance Lv.1 Defense Bonus gives you 10% Defense Bonus, while Lv.2 Defense Bonus gives you 20% Defense Bonus. You can increase an attribute’s level by composing, which you will know from the below chapter.

9. Composition

In quest 5 in the game, you learned how to compose goods, didn’t you?

Composition is really, really fun! You can add attribute to your weapons by composing; you can upgrade your armor’s level by composing; you can turn several small potions to a large one by composing…and more!

Crystal and Stone are the two keywords for composition. You need elemental crystals (fire, water, earth, and wind) and stones (Blessing, soul and Holy) to compose. Different combinations of crystals and stones make in different result. For instance 2 small crystals of water and a stone of blessing plus your sword, will add ice damage attribute to your sword. Details of the combinations please go to talk with Susan in game, choose Compose (K), and click on help (the question mark) to read the composition manual.

You can find stones and crystals when fighting with the monsters. Also you can buy them from our premium shop. Sometimes you just need a piece of crystal but you don’t have, no worries, come to the shop and buy it! You need a MochiGames account to purchase in the premium shop. Register a  MochiGames Account for Free Here.

10. Save your game

There is a magic circle at the left of Wayne the village head. You can save your game there. Or if you want to quit, you can click "Menu" and choose "save & quit".

You need a MochiGames account to save your game to the server. So next time you play Arcuz in another PC you still can play from where you quitted previously. Register a  MochiGames Account for Free Here.

For the safety of your purchased item from our premium shop, after each purchase is completed, we will save your game once. During saving please do not close the game. After “Done” shows, you are free to do anything.

11. Potions

Potions help you a lot in game. You can double click to use a potion in your inventory, or click the potion and put it into your shortcut slots on bottom of the game screen and press key 1/2/3 to use them. Below are the list of potions and their functions.
